This is the part where I explain this project and give you an idea of who I am. Well, I’m from rural Indiana (hence my occasional use of the “aw, shucks” version of North American English). I left the States in 2008 to work as an assistant teacher at two Japanese middle schools. My great passions in life are East Asia, the martial arts, writing, education, and listening to people’s stories.
So, then, what’s the purpose of writing a web log? Well, I enjoy sharing my tales with anyone who wants to read them, so it seemed like a logical choice. More important, however, is keeping in touch with my friends and family around the world.
